Albright College's Spring Summer 2024 Fashion Show

Albright College showed us what we were missing, debuting their comeback show at New York Fashion Week on September 9th. The show opened with Freddy Diaz’s bold floral prints and youthful polka dots, the first look included a floral pleat neck tank top and pleated wide-leg trousers. The rest of the show had delightful floral tie-front tops, polka dot tops, floral shorts and a stunning halter dress. Diaz’s inspiration comes from his Dominican Republic heritage and NYC. This collection made you crave going on a tropical vacation!

Next to walk the runway was Susie Benitez, aka “Susie Buttons,” it blended modern elegance with timeless charm. The collection included energetic pieces like a jacquard blouse with yellow flowers with a matching skirt, blue floral jacquard cami top with feather trim, and a stand out piece of sheer ruffled pink long sleeve top paired with jacquard pants.

Jasmin Burton native to Philadelphia her collection brought vibrancy and effortless style to the runway with high cut bikinis with ruffled bell sleeves, ruffle-tiered negligée cover-up, and orange matching set with cutouts. Nicholas Kedge, a returning designer collection of mini dresses brought an alluring energy to the runway. Dresses had cut-out details, draping, and racer front and back designs. The designs in his collection incorporated traditional patternmaking with beautiful draping.

Victoria Aquino brought elegance and creativity to the runway with hand-painted images on skirt and shirt sets and bustier maxi dresses. Her standout pieces included a bridal inspired lace trumpet dress and a white strapless dress with a dyed red bottom giving off Bride of Chucky vibes. To close the show Zyaire Valentine, presented us with bold and fun textures and styles. From black hologram dresses with taffeta shoulder flowers to plaid coats over a yellow ball gown Valentine’s bold designs were definitely put on display.

This amazing event was a huge success for Albright College, showcasing the unwavering commitment that these emerging designers have. New York Fashion Week is extremely lucky to have an event like this, can't wait to see more from these designers!
